Broadgoods

Conductive Composites’ unique manufacturing process places a continuous, ductile, and pure conductive coating over every surface of broad goods such as nonwoven veils, papers, woven cloths, foams, and others. Our process evenly covers all surfaces with a pure, uniform nickel coating.

NiSHIELD NON-WOVEN

NiShield conductive nonwovens are a lightweight, high performance conductive composite material. They can be co-cured into composite surfaces and/or structures, embedded in tapes and sealants, and even used as a standalone conductive sheet product. High levels of electrical conductivity and broadband electromagnetic shielding can be inserted into applications at very attractive weight and cost points. Available on a number of different coating substrates, typical NiShield Nonwoven products are coated technical scrims on carbon, carbon/polyester, or aramid base fibers.

NiShield Nonwoven advantages include:

  • Ultra lightweight, with superior specific conductivity
  • Ductile, uniform coatings on all sur faces, including over binders
  • No change in conductivity when infused or cured
  • Naturally corrosion resistant and ferromagnetic coating
  • Ultrathin coatings yield low caliper coated products
  • Coating substrates include carbon, aramid, cellulose, and other fiber types.
  • Can be wet processed (binder is protected)

NiSHIELD PAPERS

NiShield Papers incorporate all of the product advantages and insertion capabilities of our NiShield Nonwoven product line, on a durable high-performance cellulose-based substrate. NiShield Paper offers a unique conductive material format for conductivity, shielding, and energy storage applications. NiShield papers are also sold as EMShield by Faraday Structures.

Our coated fiber advantages include:

  • Ductile, uniform coatings on all surfaces, including over binders
  • Durable, cost-effective base materials.
  • No change in conductivity when infused or cured
  • Naturally corrosion resistant and ferromagnetic coating
  • Can be wet processed (binder is protected)

NiCLOTH FABRICS

NiCloth products are woven technical fabrics with a lightweight, highly conductive nickel coating. Our unique and proprietary coating process uniformly coats each individual fiber in a fabric with a thin layer of pure nickel. Coated NiCloth fabrics have superior conductivity and handling properties. NiCloth fabrics can be co-cured into composite surfaces / structures or used as a standalone conductive fabric. High levels of electrical conductivity and broadband electromagnetic shielding can be inserted into applications at very attractive weight and cost points. Available on a number of different substrates, the most typical NiCloth products are woven 3K carbon fabrics in plain or twill weaves. NiCloth fabrics also have a warm, shiny appearance that is differentiated from other composite fabrics and provides a unique finish for cosmetic applications.

NiCloth advantages include:

  • Ultra lightweight and very high specific conductivity
  • Ductile, uniform coatings layer on all surfaces, including over binders
  • No change in conductivity when infused or cured
  • Naturally corrosion resistant and ferromagnetic coating
  • Ultrathin coatings yield low caliper coated products
  • Coating substrates include carbon, aramid, quartz, and other fiber types.

NiFoam is a premium quality, American-made open cell nickel foam. With excellent uniformity and purity, our nickel foams are engineered for battery applications in the energy storage market and industrial filtering applications. NiFoam can also be used as a multifunctional layer in other applications, such as composites.

Advantages include:

  • Excellent purity and uniformity
  • Naturally corrosion resistant and ferromagnetic
  • Made in America
